I am a week late for Cee’s Interesting Perspectives, but I know she’ll forgive me.
It has been a busy week leaving my home of 24 years and Robert’s home of even more years. It was the home where we first socialised, the home we got married from and the home where he died. So you can imagine the emotions on leaving. There are though some positives as the move means I can also begin to move forward with my grief and with my life. I have yet to find a new permanent home but I am living somewhere very beautiful and very safe. I am with my mum for a while and within a few minutes of her front door there are many ‘Interesting Perspectives’ of Glastonbury Tor. You may need your magnifying glass to spot the tower on the tor, but you should be able to spot the hill itself!
The time with your mom will be special. The leaving of a family home is incredibly hard. It’s definitely a moving on step and even that’s hard. It’s good to see you here blogging about the interesting perspective. Take care and I hope you can get outside to enjoy them.

A view across the levels….. as others have said ‘don’t rush’. It time to take some deep breaths and enjoy your temporary surround’s, it will all work out but that takes time and best not to set a forced timetable. Good luck

As I said in our other conversation, don’t rush. You’ve got a safe harbour for now and I’m sure your mum will enjoy your company for a while.

I can only imagine how difficult it was to leave that house, but as you know, and said here, it’s the way to move forward. You’ll still have all your memories, because they’ll go with you everywhere. Enjoy your time with your mom and I look forward to seeing where you end up. I’m sure it will be a lovely spot, as this view is. I did spot the Tor. 😉

One stage down and a lot more to come Becky. I am sure Mum will enjoy the company. Hope the house hunting will be a lot easier now that all is out of the way. You do “sound” a bit happier 🥰💓

I’m glad the move is accomplished, Becky, and I know your mum will be great company. She’ll also appreciate having you around and not having to worry about you from afar. The area looks beautiful and you’ll have great walks on your doorstep. The right place will come along when it does. Hugs, darlin!

I thought of you moving last week, and I’m sorry I didn’t make contact. Blame those grandchildren from Spain! I can picture your new situation quite well, as my ex-parents-in-law lived in Glastonbury, and many a yomp up the Tor used to happen. This looks a peaceful place to regenerate and begin to plan the next chapter.

That’s a beautiful image and I can just about imagine I can see the Tor! I hope the move went smoothly – at least it is now behind you, and as you say you can start to move forward to a new part of your life. Love and hugs as ever.

Thanks Anabel, your support has meant so much.
But hee hee on the tor, if you look to the right of the big tree you should see a hill on the horizon. That’s the tor!!

I remember Glastonbury Tor very well. One of the most interesting places I visited and that means you are also near all those huge standing stone. I’m glad you are moving on, though moving itself is pretty traumatic. Moving does help. though. I remember it helped me, too though it took me a while to realize how much it had helped. VERY glad to hear from you!

I passed those stones to get here! They are halfway between my old home and my mother’s place.
And thank you so much for your kind and understanding words x
