Today’s Squares are in memory of Dad as today is Mum and Dad’s wedding anniversary. Dad was brilliant at looking at the bright side of life, and he had the most gorgeous smile. Not sure though what he thought of Monty Python’s ‘Always Look on the Bright Side of Life‘ and it is Easter so maybe I won’t actually embed the video!
If you are curious as to my choice of photographs, well last year I shared their gorgeous wedding photograph as well as a video of Dad before they got married, but this year I thought I’d return to a beauty spot that will forever remind us of him.
It is a hill which he loved to walk, and for 20ish years following his retirement the whole family and many of their friends were regularly taken here for a walk. It also happens to be where his ashes are scattered. The hill is called Melbury Hill, and it can be found on the outskirts of Shaftesbury in Dorset.

Oh fun I’ll check out the Monty Python version. Maybe Ill get into their Life of Brian too.Excellent Easter viewing wink.

It’s a beautiful hill and the photos are great, I love the contrast between the white of the clouds and the green of the hill.
