It’s a Sunday in Square in September which means I am looking to the animal world for inspiration. And where better than in Portugal with flamingos.

The theme for squares this month is ‘In the Pink‘ and the one rule as always is that your main photograph must be square. After that the world is your oyster, or should I say flamingo?! To help you get started here are some ideas you might want to consider;
- ‘In the Pink’ – means perfect condition or in good health, so that could be human or not!
- ‘Tickled Pink‘ – means delighted, so I’m thinking happy, fun and of course delighted. That could be you or the subject of your photograph.
- Pink – you can of course simply share anything that is coloured pink
- There is an extra challenge for those of you up for it – can you manage to combine two of these, or maybe even all three?
Squares is a daily challenge, so your photographs can be from the archives or brand new. If daily is too difficult, then feel free to post every other day, weekly or even just once in the month. How ever often you post I will include you in my regular pink galleries. Don’t forget though to keep your photo square, and to pingback with #InthePink!
Great shot. They are wild flamingoes, aren’t they? I have a few from a zoo… but not today: https://picturesimperfect2.wordpress.com/2018/09/09/i-dont-have-a-chip-on-my-shoulder/

It’s hard to ignore flamingos when doing a pink challenge – the colours are young and delicate. I love your flying shot in the header. Flamingoes are one of the delights down in the Caoargue area – known more for its horses and bulls, but also flamingos galore.
Here’s my official pink for the day

Such a delicate shade! Those beaks are such an odd shape. I bet they’d get them stuck in a tall glass. 🙂 🙂 I know- what would they be doing in a tall glass? Being cocktail sticks, I suppose… sorry- Sunday silly head on!

Mostly young birds we see which is why I rarely snap a pink one.
