I’ve been delighted by the number of squares and shadows this month. Who knew shadow boxing would be so popular?! If you have not yet taken part then you have until Sunday.

As regulars know the only rule of this challenge is that image must be square. Otherwise it is totally up to you how you interpret the theme of shadows. I found these fabulous shadows, shady spots and lamp shades in the grounds of a 19th century mansion in São Brás de Alportel. Now a museum and events venue, you can peep inside here.
A very tranquil and inviting scene! I’ve thrown some shadows into my Monochrome Madness post today, probably my last ones for this month: https://www.toonsarah-travels.blog/gallery-leaves-shadowy-and-bright-in-black-and-white/ Already looking forward to seeing what you come up with for our next Squares challenge!

Not even thought about the next squares yet, not even the month! You have reminded me I need to start thinking 😉

Ah, lovely – The slightly more delicate to each shadows and the very solid shadows on the pavement. I have some similarly solid shadows for you today, seen in Kraków: https://suejudd.com/2025/11/26/shadow-square-26/
