The next couple of weeks are looking pretty bonkers in the diary so I thought I’d squeeze in a gallery today in addition to my selfies in the labyrinth. As always I am in awe of your squareness.

This isn’t the largest gallery we have ever had in square, so hopefully that will mean you’ll be able to visit at least a quarter. Possible? I hope so, I know what means to everyone when their squares are visited. Anyhow let’s begin, assuming of course you have made yourself a cuppa!
- I think we only have one newbie squaring so far this month, but there have been a few squarers returning with the tranquillity of dawn as well catching the first waves of the day
- And other returners have been boxing in the shadows and watching the sea
- Then there are two squarers who have been in my thoughts a lot recently; their red doors and beautiful paths have been perfect
Wasn’t that a lovely start to our gallery of shadows. In our second room are some of the squarers who have become personal friends as well as many of those who have been squaring since our first year.
- First a stunning flower from Cee’s virtual brother, and then some rather extraordinary garden shadows and serendipity in the cloisters
- Next fabulous shape instructions before we enjoy the lion’s share of shadowing
- And if duplicating shadows and squaring walls is not enough for you there are always wordsearches!
It is always such fun revisiting squares when preparing the gallery as well as discovering some I missed on the day of posting. The latter is one of the reasons I curate the galleries. In our third room I have focused on squarers who have joined us in the last few years.
- They have spoilt us with evening light and tree lined walks, and taken us to peaceful gardens
- The theme is proving to be stunning at times and also seasonal, and you also keep making me smile with your cute squares
- Most importantly you’ve reminded us not only that we are beautiful in the shadows but that unicorns are real as they have shadows too
Wasn’t that a great room! I thought we’d head next to those who have been with us since our first full year of squaring – 2018. Incredible how many from 2017 and 2018 are still squaring. No wonder Square months often feel like catching up with old friends.
- So lets line up against the wall or shall we head out for a day at the beach? Your shadows are so great I am going round in circles and my decisions keep being eclipsed!
- What I do know though is that squares is a time to celebrate and put on our glorious finery even if the apple pie has all gone.
- So join me and many animal friends as we enjoy a journey or should I say migration and remember Cee again as we cross a bridge or two
It has been such a honour sharing memories and stepping into your shadows this past week. I cannot wait to continue to shadow you for the rest of this month. First though let’s make another cuppa and explore our penultimate gallery room.
- There is some intriguing art in this room, as well as multiple selfies and beautiful petals
- More than one of you has been teasing us with your shadows and offering far too many legs to count
- But that hasn’t stopped us playing nor has it stopped us from bathing together in the light and shadows
Shadows is proving to be joyful and wasn’t that a fabulous room. So it feels sad to now be entering our final room already. Like the others it is full of shade and silhouettes. I love it; hope you do too.
- There’s fun exploring to be done close at home as well as far afield, and even post boxes to be enthralled by
- If you need to cool down after so many squares or perhaps get lost in nature then there’s also opportunity for natural shadows
- But be quick, we’re almost a third of the way through the month and we know from experience that Squares create such a happy place that the month can be fleeting
Fabulous. So well crafted Becky. I didn’t leave comments just sped through and found so many wonderful ideas and photos.

hee hee, there’s a point usually about three quarters of the way in to the curation when I wonder how I do it too!!

That is a good one with the plant silhouette! I might have something similar I could use, too. Nice to think of it as a work of art.
Here is mine for today:

Well, I’ve explored two rooms so far. So good to ‘meet’ Squarers new to me, but even better to be in Room Two with lots of pals! More later – well done on getting all these rooms organised.
