Couldn’t resist capturing this swan at the end of the aqueduct. It is a third of the way between the Union Canal and the Forth and Clyde Canal in Scotland. In the background you can just about see the top of the Falkirk Wheel, which takes you down to the Forth and Clyde Canal. The wheel is the world’s only rotating boat lift; raising boats by 24 metres (79 ft) to this stretch of water. The Union Canal is still 11 metres (36 ft) higher than here. To get there from this point boats must pass through a pair of locks.
