Robert was full of joy the morning we looked out of our AirBnB in Llangollen to see these trains passing by. You can read the full story here.
Seeing traditional railway signals always makes me smile as Robert had the upper part of one in our garden. The semaphore arm has now gone to a good home but the finial (pointing ceramic bit on top) I still have. It makes an unusual feature in my garden.
By the way it might be our penultimate day of ‘Simply Red‘ but I am still going to remind everyone that your main photograph must be square!

What a heartwarming story. Trains are much more important in Britton than here. Except children love them. My photos are square but not exactly red. I wanted to give a west coast tsunami report.

That was a fine trip out in Llangollen and surroundings. It reminded me that we should actually stop off there and explore the area. It’s almost on our doorstep, and we often pass through it, and yet we know so little of it.
