Cee was an incredible support with my Squares Challenge, and in fact it was her approach to challenges which inspired me to reply to every Squares comment and to visit every pingback. So on day two of Simply Red I thought I’d post a square from her favourite peony fields.

Whilst I could feel Cee’s presence I couldn’t quite capture a peony as well as Cee did

I visited the fields with Chris in May. The scent of the peonies, and the beauty of the fields was incredible. It was wonderful photographing flowers in fields that Cee knew well, and I know she’d be delighted I am including flowers in this month’s ‘Simply Red’ Squares Challenge. I know many of you will be posting flowers this month too; I can see her smiling with joy. It’s also a chance to send hugs and thoughts to Chris.

The one rule as always is that your main photograph must be square but that doesn’t stop you from including the odd rectangle too!

Squares is a daily challenge, so your photographs can be from the archives or brand new. If daily is too difficult, feel free to post every other day, weekly or even just once. Pingback with #SimplyRed.

  8. A lovely idea to include a tribute to Cee in this month’s squares. Like many, I was inspired to get involved in several challenges because of her posts, and not only her own challenges but also a number of the ones she featured in her lists.

    I would never have thought of seeing a field of peonies, that must have been quite something! This one in your photo is gorgeous 🙂

  10. What a lovely tribute to Cee. I also took part in many of her challenges. She definitely helped me become a better blogger, and I also met other blogger friends through her challenges.
