  1. Can I share a related poppy story? I was a scout leader for British Scouts Abroad in Saudi. For November 11 we had a parade planned, with poppies, of course, to honour veterans. Germans also honour their veterans if not quite as ostensibly. The poppy is not known as a symbol for veterans in general or veterans for wwI veterans because of the poppy fields of flanders. Anyway, there we were, marching for the veterans with the red poppies in our lapels. And then a German remarked that he found this quiete impressive, a parade for gay rights. (That story was at a time before the rainbow was such a wellknown pride symbol.) — But, neither here nor there, I already blushing in anticipation of red July (although, writing that now, you might have waiting for October with that particular theme 😉 )

        1. It is odd isn’t it how awkward they can be in gardens. I have had similar problems

BUT oh no about your back. That’s not good. Sending lots of positive healing vibes xxx

  2. Ah yes, poppies. They’ll come centre stage in Squares, I’m sure. I have a few, anyway. Very impressed that people are starting to get things organised. My musings remain in my head!
