I’ve not figured out what the next stage of my life is going to look like but my resilience has recovered to a level where I am mostly moving forward. Not every day though, and certainly never as fast or direct as this boat!

Move Forward on Day One of May Squares

Moving forward this month is going to include at least 31 squares; as we are in for a month of squaring. I do hope you can hop on board with me and the squares gang. There are four Squares themes, and you can use all or one, or a few of them;

Burgeoning – Move Forward – Reconstruct – Renew

Although there is theme choice, one rule remains unbreakable – You must keep your images square in shape. I will be squaring daily until the 31st May but it is up to you how frequently you square – daily, weekly, fortnightly or just once this month. Just as long as you stay square.

I personally prefer pingbacks and if you do too and you also like to plan ahead – here’s some technical know-how to help with that. My URLs will be as above but with the date reflecting the date of the post and the next number at the end. My post timings will reflect the date, so today’s post was published at 5:01 am and tomorrow will be 5:02 am and so on. If I have confused you with all this technical info, don’t worry you won’t be alone in thinking ‘what?’, simply ignore this paragraph!

If you have ignored that previous paragraph then a quick note to confirm it is totally up to you whether you pingback via your post or add your link with a comment on one of my daily square posts. Both approaches work. It would though help me if you could use this month’s tag #SquaresRenew.

I will visit and comment on every Square, it may not be daily though as life can still become very challenging some days plus it is a busy month. However if you don’t hear from me within three days of squaring check your spam; it could be that the WP gremlins have been up to mischief! If it isn’t them and you think I’ve missed a square do send me another link or drop me line. I don’t want to miss any squares.

  1. I somehow missed this post yesterday but began to see so many beautiful ‘square’ posts and found you again! Welcome back! And I will begin looking for some renewal squares to share. 😊

    1. Thank you so much, and no worries – the charm of squares is that you can join in anytime during the month. Be lovely to see you as and when you can square 🙂

  2. I knew squares was coming and still it took me by surprise. I’ve been very busy the last couple of weeks (what with turning grmldpfhs), missed a few challenges (almost unheard of!), and had grandkids visiting and on my side had a few hospital visits on my side (visiting family, not for myself). So I give you my first square: fresh from the presses, or rather the SD cards, from this afternoon. Surprisingly appropriate, I hope you’ll find that, too. - I love your boat with the big spray of water jets looking almost as if was racing across land, a proper obstacle race yet successfully moving forward.

      1. Me neither. My pride was badly hurt a year ago when I did go up and I just couldn’t balance and had to be abseiled by “white helmets” (the first aiders of the park). So I stayed on level ground this time and admired the others 😁

    1. Thanks Graham, and you are definitely right on the speed. They go at a fair lick some of them, which at high tide I can understand but at low tide with all the sandbanks and waders, not so good. Don’t think you’ll change them though especially the taxi boats which I think this one is.

        1. I don’t think erosion occurs to many of them, despite the sandbanks moving and in some cases disappearing in storms. None of the channels are dredged these days, so it is a huge risk at low tide
