The sunshine was bright, I was some distance from the rapeseed and I didn’t have my reading glasses, so at the time I just couldn’t work out why the camera wasn’t focusing on the Tor. In the end I just decided to just snap the shot and see what I had when I got home. It made me smile when I did bring this up on the computer. How could I have not spotted them, there are so many!
I think they are the St Mark’s Fly (Bibio marci), and they are much more interesting than the arty shot I had been going for. They are also a great #SixWordSaturday tail tale.
I thought they were birds

I thought they were birds at first. I love finding things in photos that I didn’t see at the time.

You’re not the only one who thought they were birds. Perspective can be so weird sometimes

Maybe it’s because I have a lot of photos with little specs of birds in them!
