I probably could have shared a dawn square for every day of the challenge it is such a glorious time of the day. The world is brightening in front of you, and a whole new day awaits. Some mornings sound fabulous too. As you can see I forgot to make my video square for this post, but fortunately as my opening image is square I can still include it. Make sure you have the volume turned up!
sparkling, polished, shining, clever, cheerful, colourful, astute, brilliant, sunny, glorious, translucent, distinct and clear
If you haven’t already joined in the fun of BrightSquare then why not join us this week. It is okay to join us weekly or even just pop in occasionally with your squares. All I ask is that your image has 4 equal sides, and that it reflects the theme of bright. And if your brightness is pink why not drop in and say hi to Jude too!

Forgot to make your video square?! Only teasing. What a fantastic sky. You’ve made me wonder what shape birdsong would have – a ribbon shape or spirals or starburst, I’d say. My post for today is here: https://susanrushton.net/2021/04/11/pink-floral-fantasy/

I was acting very suspiciously yesterday, loitering by some cottages trying to record birdsong. When I got home I discovered I’d been ‘recording’ the wrong bits – not when I thought, but when I thought I wasn’t and was walking and rustling.

It was more a case of looking for interesting and colourful items for my table top studio. I upload the uncropped, full resolution original to my agency.

Strangely, those type of images are often more popular than my landscapes. I very rarely upload natural history photos as no one wants to pay for them these days.

Sad isn’t it we no longer value landscape photography as we once did, guess down side of Instagram!

I’ve found natural history photography less valued than landscapes. You can’t really blame social media for that. Publishers were reducing their usage rates in the mid 1990s before everything was available for free on social media.

Lovely colours, Becky.
I’m reading through the reader at the moment, and there appears to be a tiny glitch with it. I can’t see your video, but I can hear the birdsong, which is also lovely! The only thing is, it’s playing over the top of all the other posts I’m reading. Quite quirky, but pleasing all the same! 😁

We depend on the sun every day and every tomorrow. I’m an early riser (not by choice) so I see many a sunrise. Yours is beautiful.
