I’ve been wanting to share a support for a few days now to celebrate how fabulous and brilliant you all are. Squares is great because of you, and I’m so appreciative of your support. So a huge thank you. And here’s my post in celebrating support – a wing strut brace high above the mountains on New Zealand’s South Island.

I almost cannot believe that today is the penultimate day of 2021’s January Squares. It has been a challenging month at times, but the squares, I hope, has offered optimism, joy and a sense of community. I am going to miss it. However we will be back in April and we still have more than 24 hours left of this month, so still plenty of time to share a square or two interpreting this month’s theme of UP.

beautiful capture of peaks and clouds! time flies when you’re having fun. thanks for the inspiration, Becky. here is mine:https://lolawi.blog/2021/01/30/pinup/

hee hee on April squares. I have only just decided the theme so need to check it will work.
Promise though there will be a hint – probably towards the end of February, and the great reveal will be in March 😀

My second Up square for day 30 and 37 for the month I think. I also seem to think that I have only used Up this month. No up in other words which probably means I could do another couple of weeks.

I stopped editing Up squares some time ago. I just have a list of ideas for squares now.

You’re going to like my April theme, I suspect lots of your photography and square ideas will fit into it

I have a folder in the gallery app on this tablet just for squares. It’s useful for giving ideas for new prompts.

New Zealand looks beautiful. The snow covered mountains – not many chances to get a view from that angle. It looks like you were right on top of them flying too low for comfort. Thank goodness for zoom lenses, yes? Have a great February and March. Any plans?

He was quite low at times as my camera then didn’t have that amazing a zoom! However i felt very safe on the outward journey, coming back less so as we had a storm chasing us!

Yikes! We went on a helicopter ride over Maui and the pilot dipped down to get us close to the waterfalls. I though the lady in the back seat would have a heart attack. She cried the whole way.

oh no poor woman 😦
My poor friend who joined me for this adventure was airsick the whole way!

That must have been awful. I remember our first airplane ride as a child, and my brother was the same way. I think I have a super strong stomach. I love flying and boating – at least in good weather. 🙂

Likewise fortunately 🙂
I felt so sorry for her, and also the couple we were sharing the flight with!!

Yes, it is no fun to be in pain or scared out of our gourd. Have a wonderful week, Becky. You get to wind down a bit. 🙂

I’ve never been to New Zealand but a lovely Kiwi lass sits beside me at work and she’s told me lots of stories.
Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to fly somewhere ?

It is a beautiful country – if I ever make it back i’d spend more time on the North island. The South is stunning, but the North seems a lot more diverse and interesting 🙂
flying – goodness seems like a dream at the moment!

Oooh, you are well travelled, Becky. I only wandered along the road yesterday: https://margaret21.com/2021/01/30/well-supplied-with-mud-and-water/

Great photo too Becky 🙂 I am almost too vague headed at the moment to do anything. Time for a relax, pity about the mossies so can’t sit outside as the day cools. I don’t want to use repellent or can’t be bothered lighting a mossie coil 🙂 🙂

Sounds like a plan – it is what i am going to be doing most of the day but with tea and it is raining!

Enjoy your tea and hope you can have a bit of a fun Saturday. I am hoping the clouds that are building will drop a bit of rain tonight so I don’t have to water the garden tomorrow. Don’t feel like starting the pump to give the garden a good soaking. 🙂
