I am sure many of you will be up bright and early as I was in my first hint and I am hoping everyone will be able to put a smile on our faces and look on the bright side of life as I did in my second. Or maybe April will be the month when you indulge us with a month of bright and colourful squares. As you can see there is so much we can do with the theme of bright!
Hopefully today’s post will inspire plenty of bright ideas. I will probably share more bright synonyms and phrases before my opening square on the 1st April, as I really want you all to join me again. January was such fun!
As always during a square month I will share squares daily. If daily sounds daunting, don’t worry. It is okay to join us weekly or even just pop in occasionally with your squares. The frequency of your squares depends on you and your blog. The only absolute rule for joining in from 1st April is that your photograph must be bright and square!

It is not always easy going Square as sometimes our favourite photo works best as a rectangle. However this blogging challenge is all about square shaped photography and so if you want to join the sixty squarers in the Square Gallery on Saturday you must make sure your main photograph is square, and keep your rectangles to the side.
Yes, I’m still mulling a couple of options down the line here. Here’s today’s offering:https://grahamsisland.com/2020/07/07/thats-one-way-of-looking-at-it/

I have found the same thing. Square doesn’t work for every photo, but when it does, the subject sure pops out.

Some of my photos that would be ideal for the challenge haven’t made it because squaring them cuts off important parts! Your sunset is magnificent. 🙂

I know squaring doesn’t always work, I must remember to take more photographs in square so there is less cropping afterwards!

That’s a good plan, or often now when I am taking a photo I’m thinking – I must leave enough space around this in case I want to square it! 😀

It’s more the 40-50 hrs at work that constrains my posting, but I’ll be along as often as possible 😃

yikes those are not good hours, caused by Covid19 or is this usual?

It’s kinda usual at this time of year with folk on holiday, so we need to cover extra shifts. That being said, with Covid, we do have colleagues off still, so we have a smaller manpower pool to draw from for the extra shifts!

ah not easy then for those you still around

Nice, your square sunset has given me an idea. Another eye level perspective of a bird or mammal from me today:

ooh love that I am inspiring – have to admit the nettles were not part of the original plan but I was too short to see above them properly so decided to make them part of it!

Your square is lovely, but yes, the other is better 🙂
I’m more traditional geometric perspective today, and I was lucky, one of my images worked better in square than rectangle (and the other got to be the header)
Have a great Tuesday, Becky

Yes, squaring a photo can be a challenge sometimes but it’s surprising the difference it can make. This one of yours is a beauty.
