On 1st January 2022 MrB and I escaped to southern Portugal; the year was starting okay despite the pandemic and the earthquake. Things picked up even more in February when we were joined by family and friends, and the blogging gang went Odd with Squares.

Odd was such a fun theme. March was also odd for me and MrB both prior to and after our return from Portugal, although we did see the upside of the sands. Then April arrived, and the blog (and I) went into shutdown.

Squares and I did emerge briefly in November, partly because of the support of so many of you during the spring and summer. So thank you all.

November’s daily Walking Square also helped ensure I got out everyday, and I have pretty much kept walking daily ever since. Unsurprisingly though the limited Square Challenges, reduction in galleries and my irregular posting impacted on the size of the Squares Class of 2022. It was tiny!

Well not quite as tiny as the list above suggests as there were a few more new squarers in 2022. On returning though to their Square posts today either the blog and/or their Squares have disappeared or the photographs are still not square. Consequently I have been unable to include them in this Who’s Who.

I am hopeful though they all may return in May, along with many of the 180+ of you who are in the other Square Who’s Whos. It will be a good year to go Square as in the autumn we will be celebrating 7 years of squaring and already posts are burgeoning with squares. So whether you are new or old to Squares, join us on May Day to help re-launch Squares and be part of the special gang that is moving forward to renew and reconstruct.

  1. Aww, I can’t wait to join. On the blogging front it didn’t dawn on me that some of my old blog posts would ever be used again as I was running out of room on my site and I didn’t want to upgrade. I wasn’t resizing my photos which I know would help free up space. I’m trying to be more diligent now.

Anyways, I went ahead and deleted not only media but years worth of blog posts. Oops! However, going forward I can be more mindful on what stays and what goes when I go to clean up my site! Sorry for the long response and I’m so excited to join in May squared! You are so kind, thoughtful and so FUN! I’m so happy you are bringing back the square challenges! Love from across the pond! 💖🐴💖

  2. You never know what will turn up with the broad parameters. I am not ready but will have a day of thoughts later this month no doubt but the usual panic will set in 😂😂

    1. nothing wrong with last minute panic sometimes brings out the best – I am about halfway with finding potential photos in the archives but need to focus. Hoping next week might have time
