Those of you who followed my Portuguese blog, will know that birding dominates my posts. MrB loved observing birdlife, and in particular the waders near our apartment. I have to admit though I was easily sidetracked by light and shadows.

Everyone is welcome to join in with the Shadows of Squares this month, whether you square daily, weekly, at weekends or just the once. The frequency of your squares is whatever suits you and your blog. It is also totally up to you whether you pingback via your post or add your link with a comment on one of my daily square posts. Both approaches will enable me to add at least one of your squares to the Shadows Gallery, assuming of course there are square images in your post!
Nice silhouette and I love the movement of the water behind him.

We’re home again. Left Rome Sunday afternoon and arrived in Brisbane late Monday night. Drove home Tuesday morning. We had a fabulous trip but it’s always nice to be home. I have a stack of email notifications for posts to catch up on.

Beautiful capture, Becky. Beautiful memories.
I was talking to Younger Child yesterday about the people we miss. That feeling the pain of the absence means they remain with us despite the passage of years. It now becomes part of our experience.
