Another day when the skies were changing so much that I had to include a follow up photograph to the original photo I shared. Most of the bad weather the ship avoided, but this squall caught up with us. The seas though remained relatively calm, and if you were inside you could have easily not have noticed the rain outside. I, of course, was out enjoying it!

  1. Such dramatic seas! These photos documenting your journey have been so interesting. It’s great you took the time for this crossing, instead of choosing a quick flight across the Atlantic.

    1. it was – such a strange noise. And yes I couldn’t get over how much the weather changed this day – got another shot coming up tomorrow of the evening.

  2. Hi Becky, your photo reminded me of a the 12 day cruise around the South Pacific that Dean and I went on in 2002. Easy enough to do where we live, but as we rolled out of Sydney Harbour the rain clouds rolled in, and we had terrible weather and rough seas the whole time. Dean said he would never go on a cruise ever again, and I believe I will never be able to convince him otherwise.

  3. Nothing like a good squall out on the ocean, though it can be dramatic in a small boat, with sudden wind shifts and changes in strength.
