The week before the start of squares I was sharing a daily photo from my transatlantic crossing. There were a couple of days when I couldn’t decide which photograph to use. This is one of the photographs that didn’t make it then. I took this shortly after we boarded, the skies were less friendly then compared to when we sailed out. If you look carefully you’ll see Lady Liberty’s torch is shining bright.

  1. When my Grandma sailed in on the Madonna in 1909 she said everyone was called to the deck when the Lady was seen. She said everyone cheered, after a 30 day journey it had to be a joyous event.

    1. really are – although there is a bit of a story behind the boarding. Have to tell you when we meet up – which reminds me I haven’t sent any dates yet. Will message shortly
