If I recall correctly this is part of Josh Kline’s Climate Change installation, and this room explored the impact of climate events on communities. The couple in the video had been immersed by floodwaters, and if you look carefully you can see the screen is in an inflatable boat. This was a full immersive experience walking round; art wise didn’t do much for me but it was an interesting exhibition and certainly made a statement as well as being my reddest square yet!

Whilst I have your attention can I mention a bugbear and that’s the pop up subscription boxes! I think I might be seeing red over them because they have been everywhere as I have been preparing our first #SimplyRed gallery as well as playing catch up over the weekend. It has felt like every other blog has it at the moment! So if you haven’t already checked your WP blog do take this moment to go to ‘Newsletter Settings’. You will find it listed in the main Settings menu on the Dashboard. Then could you unclick the one that says ‘enable subscription pop-up for commenters’. Everyone will still be able to subscribe especially if you click instead ‘add a floating subscribe button’ but at least they won’t get a pop up after every comment. I might today leave a #PopUp tag as a PS on every post where I come across it over the next day or two so at least you’ll know!
Gives new meaning to a red room!

Incredibly red – bit overwhelming really I found when standing there!
If you have followed up this morning then yes, but if not then no, sorry WP gremlins still have it on yours 😦

That is a Very Red post indeed. Mine is a little scarlet too: https://margaret21.com/2025/07/16/pounding-round-parkrun/ Yes, the Pop-up thing is immensely annoying. I hope I’m not an offender, as I believe I have dealt with it.

Pingbacks are when your post links back to mine, and you do that perfectly 😀
and the pop ups only appear to readers of a blog, not authors. So again all good there for you 🙂

Thank you. So I will keep doing what I’m doing.

Feels like being inside a hot flush! But yes, I think we’re all aware of the changes in the seasons, with devastating impact for some.
There are so many settings, aren’t there? I checked and I don’t appear to be a guilty party. One that really annoys me is the flood of emails into my Inbox whenever my post is liked. The box is not checked, but still they come! And I tried to arrange for most recent comments to appear at the top, but still I get complaints that people have to scroll through all the comments first. Methinks WP does not listen, but I got that off my chest xx

oh that’s a tough one getting emails for likes too – you must go crazy some days. The WP gremlins definitely need sorting out!!

Ooh, Jo, I didn’t realise you can organise to have most recent comments first. I’ll have t go and investigate. Thanks! xx

I have tried to but I don’t know if mine appears that way to you? Terri and Tina always say it’s a long scroll through, so I don’t know! xx

I’m afraid it is Jo. You get such a lot of comments! Get in early is the way to go! xx

what Margaret says! One way round is to change how many comments appear on a page as that way the ‘leave a comment’ box appears sooner and the older or new comments are just on other pages.

Ok- good idea! I know some people like to read the comments but some just don’t have time xx

I have mine set like that so only a few comments appear on each page.

We have had a few flooding events this year in Australia. It must be devastating to have your home go under.
I’ve checked my newsletter settings and nothing was enabled so hopefully you haven’t been seeing that pop up on my posts. I have been seeing it a lot on other blogs recently.

We had a really bad flood here in Bradford on Avon this year, and you just feel so much for those directly flooded. Awful.
