  1. I think I have got all my ducks in a row!

(BTW your ‘My other blog: Becky in Portugal’ doesn’t have a link to the blog. Not sure if that is deliberate or not.)

    1. ooh just found you hiding in spam; those ducks must be misbehaving!

hmmm I thought I did, maybe I’ve hidden it. I will go and have a look shortly.

      1. I was making a few comments and that sometimes triggers being sent to spam. Silly really as people often have a session responding to blogs, and obviously not the amount a bot can make. Anyway thanks for rescuing me.

  2. Looking forward to seeing all the red next month. I will try to keep up, but will be travelling a lot during July and can only hope that the wp gods will behave during that time. 🙂

        1. Oh my goodness. Here comes more confusion for my befuddled brain. Do barges just carry cargo and narrow boats people? Does canal size matter lol

        2. It’s all down to the canal size. So narrow boats had to be created because so many of the canals are too narrow for barges, and in some cases length 😉 matters too because some canals have short locks!! Narrow boats are less than 7ft wide, broadbeam are 10 to 12ft wide and then barges can be over 20ft. You’re glad you asked now aren’t you 😀

      1. And some of those staircase locks can make a steep climb. I’ve also seen inclined planes, where barges get hoisted up a slope. There was one near where I used to live in Cornwall.
