You did well with the weather. Isn’t it funny how you feel like you’re the only people in the world and then you see another ship. Seeing wildlife is exciting. We spent a lot of time on deck during our Antarctic trip looking for wildlife.

Whale spotting sounds fun, storms not so much. I’m waiting for the new Scillonian before making that crossing to the Isles of Scilly. The current one is not known as ‘the sick bucket’ for nothing.

My sister is crossing the Atlantic on Queen Mary 2 at the end of August. The last real ocean liner. Wish I was going too.

As long as no storms brewing I would be happy with that view of the sea! I now avoid long sea crossings after a particularly bad Bay of Biscay!

I loved the changes, and apparently the trick for long sea crossings is to only travel on ships built for deep water. All but one of the current passenger ships are built for shallow water hence the challenges in storms!

We did have one day of high wind when the upper decks were sealed off, but there was no noticing any effects inside.
