Love the sign. It lures you in, not that it sounds necessary. Glad to hear your renovations are going well. Night as well do the whole house since you’ve started!
Ah, the smell of spring! I have been thinking about you, Becky. I’m so glad you popped in, and now I see why. Those old dreaded renos! So time consuming.
No need to get that close! The perfume from a daphne (assuming this is one) can be sensed from far away. Nice to see you posting again Becky, I hope all the renovations have gone well.
It is indeed, and you are so right about not getting close. I smelt it quite a way off and so the sign was very helpful (as well as funny) in tracking it down!
And renovations still in progress – this current stage should be done by Friday, and then they will be back in June to commence stage 2. There might even be a stage 3!
more of the case of original design not working out in one area so we’re having to implement a cunning plan somewhere else, and then me noticing things elsewhere in house that need repairing because the kitchen is looking so good! So thinking about you are right, I am getting carried away 😉
It’s always the same. You decorate one room and then end up having to go throughout the entire house. My kids used to laugh at me, because once I had finished it was time to start again 😂 It’s not so bad if you have found a good builder.
That’s the only thing that is keeping me sane is the crew who are doing the work. They are so considerate, as well as excellent at their work 🙂 but once they have finished in the summer that’s it!! I don’t care about this 5 to 10 year decorating ‘rule’, it has to last me at least 15 years!!
It’s a Daphne of some kind – absolutely stunning scent. And yes sorry for the absence – combination of reasons but mostly the building work in my home. Hopefully will be online a bit more going forward, although April is a challenging month
Ah yes Daphne… amazing smell… I can understand how it is, these building works in the home. Good Luck dear, I am excited for April now. I missed. Have a wonderful day, Love, nia
The scent is gorgeous, literally stops you in your tracks and yoi then find yourself searching for where it is coming from – so the sign is an amusing guide!
Great sign!

😂😂 Is it a general amusing sign or are the plants poisonous or perhaps you’ll sniffle a bee or bug
