As many of you know from previous Square challenges I have a rather fabulous view from my bedroom windows. Some mornings the view is magnificent in a different way!

If you have yet to square then you need to get your skates on like Jack Frost did. The last day of #GeometricJanuary is Friday.

Some of them look as though they are plants floating under water. But all look brrr!

intriguing isn’t it how the shapes develop – I didn’t rush out that morning!

Cold winter.. but we have enjoyed very few days of frost. Best to look at many cold days from a window… Maybe a square window :- https://davidoakes-images.com/2025/01/29/geometric-square-windows/

I just hope my solar panels earn enough for me in the summer months, and that new boiler proves cost effective!

Fascinating.
I still have so many half-timbered houses on file, I had to do another one: https://picturesimperfectblog.com/2025/01/29/timber-that-stood-the-test-of-time/

Frost patterns on your Velux? I haven’t seen that since I was a child and lived in a house with no central heating.

I see as a good sign no heat is going out of my velux windows – would panic if on the inside!!
