Since 2009 there has been a rather extraordinary outdoor museum in Miami – Wynwood Walls. It is the Floridian home of Street Art, and over the past 15 years has seen hundreds of artists from around the world covering more than 80,000 square feet of walls.

There were around 35 murals when I visited last year, as well as two galleries. I cannot do justice to the whole site in this Squares post, so here are just a few of the more geometric murals with another post or two to follow after squares.

I have been having so much fun exploring your geometry. If you haven’t already squared this month then you have just over a week left to share your geometric favourites. It is totally up to you whether you pingback via your post or add your link with a comment on one of my daily square posts. Both approaches work. There is however no flexibility on the shape of your image; it has to be square!

A mural museum must be unique. I wonder how they keep the artwork from deteriorating in that climate?

hmmm good question – I certainly was fading fast in the humidity!

Yay murals. I would have gone crazy seeing all of these Streetarts in one place. Here is my entry for today https://wanderingteresa.com/doors-as-seen-from-the-hop-on-hop-off-bus/

You did well to photograph them. They do look amazing and I can only imagine how fantastic it would have been to actually stand and look at this work.

I agree it is extremely had to position yourself to take in all the art at once. The second to last one is very creative and the detail is amazing.

And the heat/humidity didn’t help!
Can’t wait to show you the rest of them as the details on some of the others is as fabulous as the one that has caught your eye
