There is beauty to be found in cityscapes, especially where there are also trees, water and plenty of space for the sky and sunshine. There is also geometry everywhere!

Miami Reflections

It is day eighteen of GeometricJanuary, and I am back in Miami. I was surprised how much I liked this city. I can’t wait to share more with you, today though I am focused on Squares and 6WS, which means I really must stop writing!

  1. I really LOVE city photography. We used to make trips into Boston just to take pictures, but traffic got worse and what had been an hour’s drive became a three-hour schlep. I’m glad I took so many pictures when we were able to get in and out of town. Anyway, my post will be up after midnight.

      1. I remember when most households had 1, MAYBE 2 cars. Now, you see house with five or six cars — one for each kid and each adult. The population hasn’t grown, just the number of CARS.

        1. We have ONE for both of us. It is rare that we both would need the car, especially since I don’t drive. I suppose part of the problem is being out here in the country where we have NO public transportation at all. Not a train or a taxi or a bus. You either hitch a ride or walk if you don’t have a car. Considering the high percentage of older people AND teenagers, they COULD have a couple of mini-buses running up and down major roads … but they don’t. It is the only thing I really miss about living in a city. It is much harder to get around.
