I walked into the room, and initially was a bit daunted. The space had been cleverly used but would I a) be able to get up onto the bed it was very high, and b) would I really have a great city view. Then I pushed button to raise the blind and smiled!

It is day four of this month’s Squares Challenge, and if you haven’t already guessed it the theme is Geometry.
Geometry is an essential part of architecture and interior design, and it has certainly been used to great effect in this hotel. Did you know there’s even a branch of research called architectural geometry? Might explain why I am going to be sharing quite a few building squares this month.

You can join us daily, just at the weekends or whenever suits you and your blog. You can even link to other challenges as I have today with 6WS. The only absolute is that your image can only be one geometric shape and that is Square.
Post will be up first thing tomorrow.

I’m having so much fun focusing the geometric lens. I see great candidates everywhere. This staircase was a special case. So patriotic (PR) and so geometric. https://fakeflamenco.com/2025/01/04/we-3-back-from-puerto-rico/

If one has to be in a city, that’s a great view to have. I like the night view especially. The lights give it a nice sparkly look. Here’s mine today: https://grahamsisland.com/2025/01/04/spider-web-2/

Very interesting, I stayed at citizenM Hotel in Taipeh and my room had such a view from the bed as well. I quite enjoyed looking out of the window over the city, so I booked the hotel again when I returned to Taipeh before my flight home.
This is mine for today:
