In LA I stumbled across a fabulous art museum – The Broad. Whilst I discovered it too late to get a ticket to explore Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity Mirror Rooms I did find her ‘Longing for Eternity‘ on the third floor.

Over the past 60 years she has consistently created artwork about repetition and so I thought perfect for Debbie’s One Word Sunday.

    1. it was far too short – bizarrely though you didn’t go in, you look in from outside through the round windows. It was very disorientating when you moved away from it to go on to next round hole and realised you were still in the normal world

  1. I always enjoy here work, though like you I often just miss out on her exhibitions.

That said, I got to see her Infinity Rooms at Tate Modern last year. Quite an experience. And there are a couple of her pumpkins in London at the moment – one near Liverpool Street and one in Hyde Park.

The time restriction for your viewing was incredibly short, but you have managed to capture it beautifully.

    1. I couldn’t believe it when he said I had to let the next people look as felt like only a second or two. I will definitely look out for her again so good to know there is some in London.

    1. It is such fun isn’t it – sadly you were time limited on looking at this. And by limit I really mean limit less than 3 minutes to walk around and look through the circles!
