Chris and Cee have been so appreciative of your virtual flowers, love and kind words since my last update as have I. And they need your thoughts, prayers and good wishes even more now.

I am really sorry to tell everyone that despite an improvement last week, Cee is still in hospital and things have taken a turn for the worst. She will be coming home in the next day or so for hospice (palliative) care.

Chris took me to see this, it is in her and Cee’s home town

I cannot imagine what Cee and Chris are going through right now, but know that being able to come home for her end-of-life care is helping them both enormously. It is though heart breaking news for everyone who knows this wonderful couple, whether in person or through the blogging world. I will be staying in regular contact with Chris so please do leave any messages you want to send them below and I will forward.

      1. I wonder if she is up to a Zoom meeting with a few of us. We used to have one that sort of folded but if it were just 4 or 5 people I wonder if she’d enjoy a brief encounter. i don’t want her to think we’ve forgotten her. Do you know what her diagnosis is? I thought it was just a fracture.

        1. Sadly she won’t be up to this at this current time, and 4 to 5 people may be too much anyway. Chris and/or I will keep you posted if this changes.

the fracture was back in the summer, there have been other health issues over the autumn.

      2. I am so sorry to hear this. I thought that Cee was on the mend. I was one of the group that regularly got together via Zoom. As the only Canadian in the group I found it eye opening as to how different our health care systems are. Cee always encouraged me and gave me confidence with my blog and my photography. I am devastated by this sad news. Thank you Becky for keeping us up to date on Cee’s condition.

        1. I know I was hoping she was on the mend too. Life is just so unfair. She will be very appreciative of your kind words, and all being well will respond herself soon

  10. I have been blogging for over 10 years and Cee was one of the first blogs I followed. I loved her challenges, they encouraged me to photograph things I had not thought about. She always had a kind word for my posts. Her positive attitude in the face of many challenges was always something to admire, to remember when faced with my own. Sending love to her, to Chris and know that you made a difference in my life, though we have never met in person. Love and peace to you both.
