Chris and Cee have been so appreciative of your virtual flowers, love and kind words since my last update as have I. And they need your thoughts, prayers and good wishes even more now.

I am really sorry to tell everyone that despite an improvement last week, Cee is still in hospital and things have taken a turn for the worst. She will be coming home in the next day or so for hospice (palliative) care.

Chris took me to see this, it is in her and Cee’s home town

I cannot imagine what Cee and Chris are going through right now, but know that being able to come home for her end-of-life care is helping them both enormously. It is though heart breaking news for everyone who knows this wonderful couple, whether in person or through the blogging world. I will be staying in regular contact with Chris so please do leave any messages you want to send them below and I will forward.

  1. I think the fact that so many have continued to post daily flowers is a testament to how many of us depended on Cee as a given part of our daily routine. It was always the first thing I did each morning, even though I posted to many other prompts, Cee’s was always the first. oxoxo

  2. Oh, I’m so sorry to read this. It was Cee’s blog that first helped me get into blogging challenges via her helpful page listing and linking to so many in addition to her own. She’s been an inspiration to lots of bloggers I know, and this news will come as a shock to so many in our community. I’ll be thinking of her and Chris, and appreciate you acting as a link to them for all of us.

  4. I am heartbroken! Cee is such an inspiration and encouragement to me and has been to me during my blogging journey. Every time I see a pretty flower, I couldn’t wait to share it with her and the FOTD community. My thoughts and prayers are with her and Chris.

Thank you for keeping us updated. Appreciate it so. Esther

  5. Thank You for sharing this. I was always going to run up to see her one of these days. Cee sent me healing energy last winter when I was struggling. Now it’s my time to send her and Chris the same back. And you too Becky. We keep missing each other. But long arms of caring can reach around the world 💜 😢

  7. Thanks for the update, Becky. Just yesterday, I was thinking about Cee, and today I came across this post. Cee played a key role in my early days of blogging. Through her challenges list, I participated in many prompts and challenges that helped shape my blog. Whenever I take photos of flowers, I always think of FOTD. I’m also really grateful for her photography posts, which have been incredibly helpful to me.

Please send my best wishes to her and Chris. Sending prayers and good thoughts from India.

  8. So so sad to hear what I feared when Cee stopped posting her daily prompt. Her FOTD has been a constant in my years of blogging and all of the flowers I am still posting are for you, Cee. I hope you realize what a valuable gift you have given to all of us by your list of other people’s prompts as well as by your own. You are much loved in this community. Wish I lived closer to you so I could say all this to you in person. oxoxoxo Judy

      1. I really enjoyed our covid coffee clatch too, Carol. Marsha hadn’t read the news about Cee yet as of yesterday. It was delightful connection with you, Cee, Marsha, Carol C and Judy on screen. Blogging relationships are as good as any real life ones.

  10. Becky, Thank you for sharing this. Cee means so much to so many of us. She has been a dear to me through some of my worst times. We share a birthday on November 7th with Dan Antion. Please give my love and concern to Chris. I wish there was something I could do to ease her pain and make her time easier. Marsha

      1. I sent Cee and email, but I have no idea whether she can even read or see it. She and Chris are definitely in my thoughts, and several other bloggers have commented to me about how sad they are. Thanks again.

        1. At the moment I think when they have the energy and capacity they are focusing on reading the comments via my post rather than other forms of communication. Otherwise it all becomes too overwhelming. Once Cee is home the two of them may check emails too. However if you want to forward it to me, I can send on to Chris directly as and when I know they are up for longer messages.

  11. Oh no, this is so sad. What a loss for the blogging community. Every time I look at flowers, I think of grabbing my camera. Because of HER! I’m so glad you saw her and plan to keep in touch with Chris.

  15. I’m devastated to read this, Becky. We will all miss her terribly in the blog world, but more importantly, she will be missed as a wonderful friend. Many folks have been posting to her FOTD, and as I’ve seen no replies, I suspected something was wrong. I’m praying for them both.

  17. That my two faraway friends are in this situation really hurts. They’ve both changed my perspective – one on life and the other on photography. I’m glad Cee is returning to their home, where there’s been so much love and determination. My thoughts are very much with them.
