  3. His Jan 6th attempted blockage of democracy didn’t work as this art shows. He will do much to darken the world in 4 years. Sadly we have a Canadian political leader who is fashioning himself after him. Although he has no criminal record. As another blogger Jane says, we can’t take democracy for granted but we have to work at it to ensure it stands the test of time and bad politicians.

  5. I can’t even. Goodbye Ukraine, Goodbye, NATO, Goodbye Paris Climate Change Accord (Biden re-joined as soon as he was inaugurated; I’m sure Trump will pull us out). WAAAAAH!

      1. The US is always promoting war so now it will just get worse with who he wants to win and give him the biggest profit.
        So many bloggers aren’t the people he wants either, so I fear for them

        2. I do as well. The advent of social media and it’s effect has been terrible. I fear more for our world is AI. That will take the beauty and reality of this planet, the ability to manufacture places, words without feelings or emotion producing a generation of automatons doing the bidding of whoever can control the AI generators.
          This is why I like living in relative isolation and being able to recognise, at the moment, what is real and what is manufactured that pretends to be real

  7. I live in the house with a black husband. I’m Jewish. My son and his partner are gay. You think maybe we feel as if there is a target on our door? For the first time ever, I’m ashamed and embarrassed to be American. This is awful.

    Tom is shutting down the podcast. He may change his mind later, but he doesn’t want such a public profile. I frankly don’t know what to do. Or how to do it. And finally WHY? Where were the Democrats? In one state, they voted for Trump, but supported adding legal marijuana. What is WRONG with this country?

    I don’t even have the words. The world has gone mad and here I am, stuck in it without the resources to get the hell out of here.
