As you know staying square and counting to seven is essential, consequently this square almost didn’t make it into the #SevenforSeptember collection because initially every time I cropped I ended up with more than seven plates. So I am glad I finally managed to work it out as it was important to me to include a photograph of this particular place.

Thank you to everyone who has joined in this challenge already this month. Your squares have been so creative. They have also helped me enormously on my griefy days as I take my first holiday since widowhood. So thank you all again.

  5. I think maybe selecting photos from seven years ago was the easier option, though I haven’t been able to stop myself looking for sevens! I’m glad the squares are helping you through those tough days, and I imagine looking at this photo and its memories has been bittersweet. Hope you can get back there with a friend or family member some day, though sometimes it’s best to remember things as they were.

    1. yeah I finding being at Tahoe quite hard, full of memories. So it is certainly highlighting that my fears about returning to Portugal are well founded, at the same time though I am so glad I am here so as you say maybe one day I will be able to return to this lovely place too

    1. Thanks Cee, and yay it did. Did need multiple layers in bedroom though – the only way to get downstairs hot is to create a sauna upstairs!

        3. yeah his cabin has been invaded x3 this year, and I have seen them wondering around on past visits. Hopefully I won’t have an encounter over the coming week!
