As you know staying square and counting to seven is essential, consequently this square almost didn’t make it into the #SevenforSeptember collection because initially every time I cropped I ended up with more than seven plates. So I am glad I finally managed to work it out as it was important to me to include a photograph of this particular place.

Thank you to everyone who has joined in this challenge already this month. Your squares have been so creative. They have also helped me enormously on my griefy days as I take my first holiday since widowhood. So thank you all again.

  1. Yes, in this square challenge cropping was important. Sometimes I had to tilt the photo to be able to square it. Sometimes I thought I had succeeded and then, once posted, I realised I’d overlooked one item. Back to the drawing board / editing program or worse, back to the archive. But your plates look fine except for a slight shadow on the left … 😉

  2. Hard to find a place that you love and have it snatched away from you, Becky, along with that person who is your life. You have amazed me with this current journey across the States, and tugged at my heartstrings with the photo of Robert lighting that fire. We’ve not been to the village, but know and love Castro Verde. Maybe next year you’ll find your way back here. One step at a time, hon. You’re young, still, though you might now feel very much older. Who knows what the future holds? Sending hugs, darlin.
