Although I think William Morris was referring to the actual manor house and grounds rather than the privy! These seven paving slabs are in the garden of Kelmscott Manor, and were probably not even here when William Morris and his family rented the manor in the late 19th century.

If you have not yet joined in this month’s Squares then you still have plenty of time. Here are a few thoughts for how you might interpret #SevenforSeptember;
- a photograph which was taken at 7am, 7pm or anytime during the 7th hour
- or perhaps one taken on the 7th of the month or in the 7th month, which can be either July or the Roman 7th month which is of course is September!
- a favourite shot taken 7 months ago, on a 7 mile hike or even 7 years ago when we first began squaring.
- the number 7 might appear in your photograph or like I have today you could photograph 7 objects
- don’t forget though your image must be square!
Quite good Becky 👍😀
I did resist in saying it was a shithouse square 😁 Oh it looks like I did 🙄
