In between packing for my trip, and hosting some very special guests I have managed to find a few hours to create our first seven gallery. You have been sharing such fabulous squares already, I just couldn’t go away without doing this. So below you will find everyone who has squared in the first seven(ish) days of #SevenforSeptember. First though why not spend a couple of minutes sitting with me beside the River Avon. I took this for you shortly after 7am in July, you’ll need to check volume is on (bottom left) and then turn up the volume on your device.
Now before you start to explore the gallery, make sure you have a cup of something to hand. This isn’t the largest gallery we have ever had but it is still pretty big for the first one of a new square theme.
- I am always delighted by your textured square theme interpretations as well as your extraordinary skies
- So many of us have caught the counting bug this month and in more shapes and turns than I could ever have imagined
- I am incredibly thankful to you all for squaring with me, and for taking the time to sit down with a coffee to share
- Squares is a great excuse to be silly and to delve into our wonderful family history, and this month seems extra lucky for squaring
Wasn’t that a wonderful start to #SevenforSeptember. I thought in the next room I’d introduce you to some new squarers as well as those we have not seen for a year or more. I have also added the extraordinary squarers who have been squaring with me for the past seven years. These brilliant squares create one of the larger rooms in the gallery so if you hadn’t yet made a cuppa, make it now!
- I love being at the seaside, and who can resist looking inside flowers or balancing on a wire, and you know how special birding is to me
- A few of us have been thinking out of the box as well as delving into our beautiful floral archives and finding big sevens
- Others have mastered lining up seven, the cropping of seven, and even the circling of seven
- I am so enjoying your travel archives, honoured by your beautiful memories of time with family, recalling blogging friendships and giggling with how many spots are appearing in front of my squaring eyes
Wasn’t that such a fun room. Our next room is another large one and is full of Squarers who have been with us almost seven years, all having discovered the addiction in 2018. I still can’t quite believe how many of you are still squaring with me!
- As we all know a team can often achieve more than a singular
squareperson, and so I was delighted that a few of you have had many visitors sharing abundant delights - I know I was not the only one who shuffled in and started counting too early, but then we wouldn’t find squares if we didn’t stumble in occasionally
- There is also magic when we march back in time and crawl in nature and clamber beautifully up walls
- You all seem to bloom in squares as well as find something delicious to eat
- No wonder I find it such a treat to host; you bring me childhood delights, find joy even in the rain and bring tranquility to our minds
And on that calming note we find ourselves about to enter the last room in the gallery. This is such a wonderful room of Squarers with some great friends in it. I do hope you are able to spend some time visiting one or more of them.
- Here’s a bit of sugar for those who forgot to make a coffee and a reminder that how you count is up to you
- As long as you are squaring about and having fun during the holidays this Queen of Squares is happy
- Regular squares also know that fabulous oddments and inspired moments are actively encouraged in squares along with stunning sunrises
- I also greatly appreciate helping circles with counting, your beautiful double challenge dipping and your poetic creativity
Thank you all for joining me already this month. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the month brings. But before you dash off to find more no7s here’s a square still from the video; I wouldn’t want to be accused of ignoring my own square rule!

I am always amazed by your energy, Becky! Hosting guests, preparing for a trip, and bringing us all together in this space!
Happy travels, and a great rest of September!

I hear you – I relish an early start to the day … time for myself. This hasn’t always been the case … I used to drag my feet in the mornings getting to school. I think it was when the children got a little older when stealing early hours began 😆❤️
