I wish he was here to celebrate his 77th birthday today. I miss him so much, and life isn’t the same. So unfair he isn’t here to remember this moment when we randomly took a photograph of him beside a fig in a well and seven baths. Although if he had been here I would not have got away with sharing a birthday post!

  10. What a lovely photo of Robert, happy as Larry in his element there. (Who is Larry?) I am glad that you too have lovely photos to revive those memories. And I know we have had this conversation before that Robert shared the same birthday as my mother though many years apart as she would have been 105! Love the bathtubs but what on earth were they doing there?

    1. Thanks Jude, and yes I do remember it’s her Birthday too. Birthday memories for us both, and you now have me pondering why Larry. The Guardian suggests it has been around since the 19th century – after an Australian boxer?!

      by the way it is a Portuguese myselty on all those baths. I know the odd one gets re-used as a trough but 7 and it is a long way from anywhere!

        1. It’s been a day of minor wobbles & a couple of smiles so far. So it’s manageable.
