I wish he was here to celebrate his 77th birthday today. I miss him so much, and life isn’t the same. So unfair he isn’t here to remember this moment when we randomly took a photograph of him beside a fig in a well and seven baths. Although if he had been here I would not have got away with sharing a birthday post!

The bitter/sweetness of memories 🥺 A great way to remember him!!! Is it just me, or do the baths look like they’re laid out in a figure 7 😲 Here’s mine: https://jezbraithwaite.blog/2024/09/06/july-over-the-years-4-sevenforseptember/

Apparently not just you, at least two others have noticed that too. I had completely missed it!!

So Mr. B and I are both Bulge Babies from 1947! So glad you have so many photographic memories of him: oddly, I have a not dissimilar bathtub photo taken in Nidderdale.

Relaxed, happy, with a twinkle in his eye…. it’s a good way to remember him, Becky. Happy birthday, Robert!

These special days are hard, but truly any day can end up that way. Would love to find out the story of why so many tubs and upside down?

We never know when our end will come, sadly. I am so sorry to read of your longing for him (friend or beloved). This made me thankful my husband is still with me. He just turned 74.

Turn all the baths right side up and plant them in flowers. Strange dumping place. Memories are priceless and if only we had the power to change how illness affects us.

I agree, so bizarre but love your idea of putting flowers in them

I did that this year with an old bath tub!

I have an old farmhouse sink – that was the plan. But the dogs have dragged so many bones home over the years that it has become bone storage!!
