You all missed counting so much yesterday I thought I’d better mention this is definitely a counting one, although the 7th is hard to see. This square makes me smile; we came across them at the end of a rather lovely walk in the east Algarve.

The 7th is there!

Do hope you are enjoying celebrating seven years of the Squares Challenge as much as I am. There has been so much variety to date. If you have not yet joined in then there is still plenty of time as the challenge is active until the end of the month.

Just remember that your main photograph must be square, and that the theme is #SevenforSeptember. Which is why this even cuter goats picture taken on another walk didn’t make it as my main image.

If you are reading this and have a WP blog, can you in a moment go to ‘Newsletter Settings’. You will find it listed in the main Settings menu on the Dashboard. Then unclick the one that says ‘enable subscription pop-up for commenters’. The readers of your blog will be delighted if you do this!

  4. Re: Pop-up. I’ve disabled mine (hope it worked) after Jude pointed it out to me. Now if someone can join me to get rid of the “Howdy” greeting at the top right? I see that on yours it say “hi”. I’ve spoken to the support people (satisfaction friends, or whatever ridiculous thing they call themselves) and they said they are sorry I don’t like it but … live with it. What did you do to change it?

      1. I don’t know. So far, I have only noticed “hi” on yours, not on anybody else’s. I thought it had possibly something to do with location but that does not seem to be it.

      1. 👍🏽 I tried to check myself, commenting on my own post, from a different browser where I am not logged in with a non-wordpress used e-mail address. Doesn’t work. WP recognised me (how??!) and refused to NOT log me in. Thanks for checking.
