Not sure my surveyor would give this property the same kind of building report as the one he has given the house I hope to buy. Even the 200 year old 17 ft high garden wall at the back of my potential new home is in better condition than this. Still I am sure there is someone who can see the potential in this Portuguese farmhouse.
And if you have not joined in the fun of the Squares Challenge then you have until 31st May to share photographic squares that are Burgeoning, Move Forward, Reconstruct and Renew.
I hope your survey comes back with rather fewer warnings than this would. I’m trying to visualise a 17 ft wall and can only come up with something like the barn next to me. Which casts shadow over the garden the entire winter months so maybe bear that in mind.

Yes it is very high, fortunately though the wall itself is south facing and the sun sneaks through from the adjacent gardens to the west.

the garden is so small I am not worried, as I decided months ago the garden was something I would compromise on

Fair enough. The weather is so awful during winter I rarely spend any time in my garden except to put out the bird feeder.

I certainly hope your home is better constructed than that!

hee hee, yeah I don’t think my solicitor would allow me to buy anything like this!

Kudos to Brian and Bernie. I’m lazy and rather just document how it looks today. But you already documented so well … so I just watch.

That’s a Grand Design for sure. How exciting to hear your next home is getting closer to reality.

17ft! That’s high, Becky. No nosy neighbours… And yes, I’ll keep an eye on Brian.

It is high, but at the top of it is my neighbour’s garden!

A bit drafty in the corner I think. 🙂 And rustic would surely be used in the building report. 🙂

hee hee yes definitely rustic. At least though you have built in shelves already in situ!
