These crag martins (or were they alpine swifts) are moving in front of a reconstructed wall, and sometimes it is forward movement, but other times who knows?!
The birds flight is rather like me. I know I am moving, but it not always clear if it is forward or not. When I look back through my grief journal it is evident I am making strides, but it is also evident that those strides can be in random directions. My grief will never leave. It is too big to disappear or even shrink after the sudden and traumatic loss I’ve experienced. I’ve simply learnt, and am still learning, how to grow my life around the grief. Some days it is hidden and other days it is not. But that’s okay. There is always movement even if, like these martins it is not clear which way I am going.
Despite the uncertainty about direction, I have stuck to the square shape for this is my 19th #SquaresRenew post. It is also my 750th (ish) square so I know the 4 equal sides rule is unbreakable! Up to you though how you interpret Burgeoning, Move Forward, Reconstruct and Renew, and if you are after ideas do check out yesterday’s gallery.
PS if you haven’t already play the video with the sound turned up high – you may need to click on the lines in the bottom left of square. The sound of the birds is lovely, and if you listen really carefully you can hear Robert too.
I think (and feel and perceive) that you’ve been making strides in the right direction, and even if you think those strides may have been in all sorts of directions, the point is, they are strides 🥰
