A few days ago I swapped out this gorgeous square for a very cute one, but thanks to a gallery promise you still get to see this one.

Now for those who have not been part of Squares before, here’s some essential advice about Square Galleries. You need a large cup (or glass) of something. It is not that I write loads but once you start exploring you will find you don’t want to stop! Galleries are a wonderful opportunity to catch up with old squarers, meet new squarers and discover squarers you may have missed. I thought I’d start with those who are brand new to Squares and those who have returned to squaring in the past couple of days.
- Don’t forget to pour that coffee, or maybe even make brunch before you start to explore our first #SquaresRenew gallery
- It is a powerful gallery; full of extraordinary people doing extraordinary things and finding ways to reconstruct things
- There are also garlands and smiles, and beautiful trees, and even floors bursting into life
Wasn’t that a fabulous first room of squares that move forward, reconstruct, renew and are burgeoning. In the next room you can visit everyone who joined me on the first day.
- The beginning of a Squares challenge is an adventure; if we look closely there is always something special, and even when they feel heavy there is always something wonderful
- Squares are stunning in the shade, as well as on tempting woodland paths that you just want to explore and move forward on
- In the first half of the month we have enjoyed fascinating horizons, discovered historical secrets and collected a few autographs
- We have even been led up the garden path as we have been coaxed into square life, no wonder we are going quackers . . .
. .. and that so many of you have lost track of the number of squarers this month! I have had to curate two rooms just to visit all the first day squarers. There were twenty five of us, and many have continued to square daily. How fabulous is that! Here’s the second room;
- You squarers are blooming fab, and know just how to scratch that perfect spot with your squares and help us all move forward and awaken
- As when squares turn there is revolution, and we see themes in the working day as well as changing city scenes
- Squares are being reconstructed and re-imagined everywhere, in fact you could say they are
mushroomingburgeoning - So much so you may slow down a bit or perhaps wobble or even stop on your square journey
- But whatever you do don’t forget to have lunch!
As you all know you don’t have to join in daily, you can square weekly, ad hoc or even just the once. The frequency is your decision to make as is how you interpret the themes. And here’s now a room to celebrate those who joined us on the second day. They have also been interpreting the themes brilliantly.
- From beautiful pincushions to fascinating genealogy to forgiving those with a very bad reputation
- This month of squares is about moving forward wherever you find yourself and remembering that you must remain square
- It is a month for exploring and that includes moving through your wonderful archives
For my final room of this gallery, I thought we could visit everyone who couldn’t quite make the first two days but did appear in week one. There are some wonderful old friends amongst them; it has made me so happy to catch up with them.
- My theme choices always feel like a gamble at the start of the month, but the ideas soon appear and we find ourselves returning to move forward
- Sometimes it is at a leisurely pace, and sometimes we are not sure which way but we’ll feel renewed
- Especially when we are taken to wonderful places, discover unexpected wild delights and are kept on the move
- By the end of the month squares will have shared company, attracted plenty of attention and hopefully made us feel young again
So I do hope you are able this weekend to visit at least one Squarer in every room of this gallery, even if you only have twenty minutes. At the end of the day though there is only one absolute rule to become a Squarer, and that is;
Your photograph must be square in shape!
Oh Becky, it was fun going through everyone’s photos again and I found some new ones to like or comment on as well. Wonderful collection. 😀

Wow this must be great fun compiling this but also stressful. Thanks for the link Becky.

Fortunately I keep a good record of who has squared and so not too stressful, but it is time consuming!

fingers crossed for you – I’ve just got back from a 4 mile stroll. Misty in distance but not around me on walk fortunately

I was wondering if you had the energy for doing a half-time wrap up. I don’t think I’ll be going through them all like I usually do.
Thanks Becky, you’re a treasure 🥰

awww thanks Brian. Had meant to do it last weekend, but grief had other plans so wasn’t sure I’d manage. However some rest and weather uncertainty came together this weekend 😀 and no worries about visiting. You have probably seen all of the day one so if you find a moment maybe the smaller rooms

That’s good that even the weather and mood were no deterrent Becky.
I haven’t had the best over the last few days either so didn’t feel in the mood. I might have a browse at some later tonight as I am feeling quite good.

Thanks Becky, luckily it was more ups and downs than a flatline.
Hugs gratefully received x

Me again – I think my comments on some of your brilliant squares may have gone into spam. As I have just been double checking I have visited them all and I can’t see some of my comments
