One of my favourite trees, Cercis siliquastrum, flowers everywhere on its old wood. Its common name is Judas Tree, I wrote about it in this Portuguese post a few years ago.

If Squares are not yet burgeoning on your blog, then don’t panic as you have plenty of time. The Squares Gang and I will squaring daily until 31st May with photographic squares that;

  • Move Forward
  • Reconstruct
  • Renew
  • and/or are Burgeoning

You don’t have to join in daily, you can square weekly, ad hoc or even just the once. It is totally up to you, as is how you interpret the themes and whether your photographs are new or from the archives. I’ve used this one more than once now! As regular Squarers will tell you, there is only one absolute rule;

Your photograph must be square in shape

  1. I had to stop and stare the first time I saw one up close. They are mostly finished flowering just now but a few flowers still linger. I especially love the paler one. Have a good day, Becky!

  2. So beautiful. Also ne of my favorites. In the US they are called redbud trees. I read that Native Americans used the redbud bark and roots for medicinal purposes.
