Unlike Graham I haven’t been thinking of renewing library books and certificates, instead this month’s theme keeps reminding me of flowers and leaves in bud. Probably because my Mum’s garden is looking absolutely stunning. Not sure though if it is the renew or the burgeoning that I am connecting in my head to all these buds, and I’ve noticed many of you have been using both too for your floral squares.

Have you also thought of flowers, or have the words Move Forward, Reconstruct, Renew and Burgeoning made you think of something else? I cannot wait to see your photographic squares, whether you share them today, this weekend or any other day in May.
Wonderful shot of contrasts & new flowers hunting the sunlight 😃 Here’s mine: https://jezbraithwaite.blog/2024/05/02/new-life-for-beckys-squares/

I am hunting the sunlight too this morning, a miserably grey drizzling morning in the south west. Hope it is brighter in the north west with you

That’s a lovely shot, Becky. I’m still moving forward with the birds: https://margaret21.com/2024/05/01/moving-forward/ What a lot of great posts yesterday. Did you come up for air at all?

I am always happy to see birds :-D, and yes surprisingly I did. Managed a walk, a bit of gardening and some admin stuff.

She was as well. Just had an email confirming it was an allium!

These are so pretty but I have no idea what they are. I’ve heard you’ve had a lot of rain this year so that will always help the gardens grow. 🙂

so so much rain, and also been much greyer than usual. But yes most gardens are loving the weather.

Pretty flowers. Is it some kind of allium?

I think so, but will check with my mother when she is awake. I took it in her garden, and should have asked her when I took the shot!

What a cool photo. I have no idea what kind of flower it is but it’s going to be a beauty. Love the neutral background.

The background is an old cattle trough painted off white!

I like the unusual looking flowering buds and the mysterious shadows in the background. Will try and contribute soon, Becky.

Right now I’m thinking flowers, trees, etc., but who knows what I might turn to as the month progresses. 😁 Your square’s a beauty.
