An unusual sight at this time of year in the northern hemisphere but these are not real. They are part of the winter lights display at my favourite local gardens, and I am guessing the lighting will be played to music as this display is close by to all the food stalls.

I think they look rather lovely in the daylight too, especially in the sunlight which accompanied my friend and I on our morning walk here the other day. We also had a rather fabulous brunch, it was a good morning.
Interesting…. are you heading back at dusk 🌆

They look lovely – I hope you’ll be able to capture them lit up some time too, so we can see how they look then. So glad you had a good walk with your friend 🙂 I’ll try to fit in one more set of walking squares from Nepal before the end of the month.

Not sure I will be up to going back myself after dark but will definitely see if I can find a photo 🙂

That’s a wonderful location. Would also like to see a photo of the illuminated tulips.
This is mine for today, one more from walking in the rain: https://wanderlustig2019.wordpress.com/2022/11/27/walking-in-the-rain-in-the-black-forest/
The next square will be sunny!

I like this Becky. A nice pop of color as winter closes in. It would be fun to see it illuminated, hint, hint! Here’s mine today: https://grahamsisland.com/2022/11/27/hawi-murals/

You’re not the first to make that hint. Don’t think I am up for a night visit, but will try and find a photo on social media 🙂

It’s always nice when fake flowers light up the night for the holidays, Becky! Glad to read you had a nice day! Here is my vivid post for Sunday Stills…I should have one more this week to wrap up your walking squares. https://secondwindleisure.com/2022/11/27/sunday-stills-vivid-memories-spark-gratitude/

A beautiful display and a lot of loving care it took to arrange all the tulip lights.
Some might remark that it’s a waste of time when something useful could be made.
BUT what is more useful than making a lovely garden for others to enjoy? And perhaps help them to forget daily cares?
The world spends too much time creating ugliness and ruins. How much happier it would be if we concentrated on grace and beauty.

So many gardens doing winter light shows now, I guess it brings in a lot of money. These installations must be a lot of hard work! I won’t be going to any this year, although there is one fairly close by for a change. I am not a fan of driving in the dark and especially during winter when it is often raining, windy or foggy! Glad you had a lovely morning out and a perfect brunch.

I know so many now. I won’t be going to this one but will probably go to Rosemoor after Christmas as we will just down the road and I can get a step daughter to drive!

Always good when there is another driver! Rosemoor is a lovely garden. Does your step-daughter live in North Devon then?

No we are renting a Landmark Trust property for Christmas, decided going somewhere different might be the best option for all of us

That’s a brilliant idea. We once had a family Christmas in Wales and it was a lot of fun, even if a tad cold. I appreciate that it is going to be a difficult time for you all, but I hope you get comfort from being together.
