My daily walks have become an essential part of my new routine. Are they part of your routine too?

Don’t worry if not as I am not expecting anyone else to walk daily. Feel free to just join me weekly or occasionally with your squares and comments. Your support means a lot to me.
It’s so beautiful there Becky!

Some days Becky we will walk in the mall because of bad weather. Not the best scenery but we are out the apartment.

Good for you, Becky. I don’t go for ‘a walk’ on work days as I get plenty of exercise there, but when I’m off I almost always go for a walk, and a swim too! Here’s mine today: https://grahamsisland.com/2022/11/20/how-now-brown-cow/

so envious – hideous weather here today, and extra hard as I really need to get out after a difficult phonecall (had to tell an acquaintance of Robert’s he has died). In fact I might just put the weatherproofs on and go, it is so wet and windy it will be like I am swimming!!

A walk in wild conditions can be fun too!

It did me a power of good, was out for more than an hour. Waterproofs were dripping by time I got back, but I was dry 🙂

I love that you always find a new and different way home. 😀 Gorgeous square.

Keeps it interesting 🙂 off there again on Wednesday with a friend so hopefully will discover more ways.
Although looking at weather forecast I might need full waterproofs just to get to the cafe there!

Walking is as essential as breathing, Becky. Healing strengthens with every step. I managed a few squares this week as I enjoyed a number of walks to find the images for this post: https://secondwindleisure.com/2022/11/20/sunday-stills-monthly-color-challenge-leather-and-shades-of-brown/

I’d like to say that I did walk daily but that would be a lie. I hate the wind even more than the rain and together makes walking pretty miserable. The OH is much more determined than me, but sometimes he comes back soaked! Waterproof trousers are the way to go I think. This is a turning around point for us, a 30 minute walk back up the hill:

waterproof trousers are amazing. Robert and I got ours for our long walks in Portugal’s wet season and they transformed the few days when it did rain. They are also great for wind protection – get yourselves a pair each!!

What brand have you got?

Mountain Warehouse – so not a top brand but they seem to work really well.

Thanks. We’ll have a look when we go into Penzance on Tuesday I think there is a branch there.

I try to make it part of mine, although some days I really don’t fancy it. As you said earlier, if you can make yourself do just a little, you might end up doing more once you get out. Your challenge gave me an extra reason to be happy when I found these on my walk the other day, so thanks for that! https://susanrushton.net/2022/11/20/seeds-of-the-horse-chestnut-or-conker-tree-aesculus-hippocastanum/

I totally get that. Today for me was one of those days, but I made myself go and did a tiny bit extra too 🙂

It’s hard to put a value on a doorstep beauty spot. You have Hilliers Gardens, we have the Linden Field and Windmill Hill:
