Not just autumn colours that are looking great, the fungi also seems to be in its element.

What are you noticing on your walks? Do share. I’ll be so happy if you can join me a few times in these final weeks of #WalkingSquares.

I’ve been hunting mushrooms over the last month or so, but not to eat, just to marvel at. These are a wonderful colour and they look big.

That is one weird-looking mushroom, Becky. Are you sure it wasn’t an alien?

Definitely not fungi! But I did spit some cool lichen on a tree yesterday. A spot of green in the winter.

That’s an impressive specimen. I keep looking for fungi but only found some teeny ones in my plant pots so far! Still looking for the teddy bears’ picnic…

Looks like it is rather big or is it just the angle making it look large?

Very nice, Becky. I saw some lovely orange fungi when I went for a haircut yesterday. On my walk though I saw my first humpback whales of the year! Always a thrill, though no photos as they were too far away. Here’s mine today: https://grahamsisland.com/2022/11/18/scary-head/

Your photo inspired me today. I dug around in my archives and found some mushroom that I had never posted before. Enjoy.

What a striking fungus. Though on second looks its reminding me of culinary distasters inside my oven.
