This walk is another I return to again and again, the main reason being it is almost on my doorstep. If I time it right it is free from joggers and dog walkers, and I can imagine I am far out in the countryside rather than the outskirts of Winchester within a few yards of a housing estate! I have seen deer, weasels, red kites and kestrels from this path.

You will recall that on day one I said I cannot promise any galleries this month, but it remains a goal of mine to create at least one so if you have a square photograph join me and this month’s theme of WalkingSquares. Please don’t forget to include a pingback to my daily square posts as whilst I have been here twice a day so far I am not confident I going to be able to continue to be online daily let alone twice a day. So bear with me if there is a pause in my comments. Whatever happens though my squares are scheduled and I will be here regularly as walking with you virtually is also good for the soul!
Love the camera angle.
Appears Mysterious path.

I love the idea of wildness being practically on your doorstep! So do you ever attend the Winchester Poetry Festival? I went once, and had a great time.

It is isn’t it, although I am not keen on the edge of the estate I have to walk through to get to it. Hideous lego design!

Pleased you have such a lovely route for a walk close by! I am showing one of my past favourite spots for getting into the fresh air, note so easy for me now, but hey Here it is: https://suejudd.com/2022/11/05/almost-on-my-doorstep-walking-squares-5/j

I am fortunate, although was just saying to Debbie that the estate it is on the edge of is not great. Hideous modern design!

A slow walk is as good as a fast one. So slow down and take your time. 🙂

That’s very true. I am not quite ready to go too slow yet, reminds me too much of walks with Robert but hopefully soon I will be able to slow down

A lovely walking route to cherish. You’re doing so well, and if the covers call as a refuge, that’s fine. We’ll wait for you!

Thanks Margaret, really appreciate your support.
Just got back from a 5 mile walk in the rain, and feeling energised so thought I’d come and say hi to everyone

Wow! Well done! I was meant to be having a seven mile walk with a friend, but Rain Stopped Play and we went for a coffee instead.

You are doing a magnificent job so far, hon, and I’m proud of you. This looks like many a path I’ve ambled through, usually forgetting a bag to collect berries in. Have a good weekend, Becky! It’s ok to pull the covers back over your head sometimes, but you know we’ll be waiting for you when you get up.
