Today we should have been celebrating our wedding anniversary, instead I am still reeling from the trauma of Robert’s sudden and unexpected death in April. Of course I have many incredible memories of our wedding day, our honeymoon and of other fabulous days with this wonderful man, but this month I am struggling. I am not quite ready to share those memories beyond a few photographs, and a post to highlight this day.

I am being extra kind to myself this week. I am walking daily, saw Mum yesterday and today I will be with one of Robert’s amazing daughters. I am so fortunate to have her and her sister, their respective partners and of course Tabitha in my life. Hopefully with her help and her very cute dog I will be up to making new memories today, however in case today turns out to be a curled up on the sofa with chocolate kind of day, I have collated below previous anniversary posts, simply click on a picture to read more.
Sending you hugs.

So sorry. Our first anniversary without my husband was actually a few days after he died. It was tough. Hugs to you.

So many lovely photos Becky, that red coat really suits you and Robert always looks so proud and protective of you, whilst you just beam. Your love for one another is plain to see. Today will be hard, but I hope you are able to reflect on all the happy times you shared, whether with smiles or tears.

I am so sorry, Becky. It is easy to see the happiness in all of these. I especially like the joy in your eyes in the one from your wedding day where you are looking up. Thanks for sharing them with us as you celebrate your love.

You look so very young in that adorable wedding photo in the train doors! Always he was there, with that protective arm around you. I had a lump in my throat as I went back through all those posts, recognising most of the places. I’m glad that you have family around you, Becky. One of his many gifts to you. Tomorrow is another day and slowly you are gathering the strength to move forward in life. Today is one for tears and memories. Sending hugs, darlin!

Woke up and my thoughts were immediately thinking of you. Today a day full of memories and tears for you. So pleased Ellie is with you as you struggle through this so sad day. The tears will flow but hopefully you and Ellie might be able to share a few lovely memories of such a wonderful husband and dad. Fondest love from Mum.
