February flew past, and not just because of Squares. Everyone seemed busy last month, juggling life whilst surrounded by an increasingly scary world. I am therefore more grateful than ever to everyone who found time to share life’s oddities, whether you squared once, a few times or achieved superhero status with daily square oddities.

The brevity of the month meant many of us are missing Squares more than we usually do. Hopefully this gallery will make the loss easier, and I am also hoping a weekend publication will give you time to fully explore three or even five rooms! Or if you are busy this weekend why not aim for an odd number of squarers in every room.
- There are quirky collections to admire in this gallery as well as names and guitarists to be confused by
- So don’t worry if you’re sitting oddly you’ll soon be distracted by unusual sculptures and all the trees
- There are even secrets to discover and revealing stories to give you strength and test our counting skills!
Wasn’t that a great opening room. Hopefully you met both regular squarers and those we have not seen for a while. So lovely I think to visit squarers we’ve not seen for a few themes.
- Talking of old friends did you see these odds and ends, or have an answer for the unexplainable or where they were headed?
- Maybe you know exactly how they did it, recognise this unusual sculpture or are unphased by the odd lights
- Whatever the numbers in the previous squares I know you will be delighted by the beauty, by the shapes and by the faces everywhere
- I am not sure though we all want five minutes of fame or to get stuck, but it is true that we all do this and we love to be made to feel welcome
Warm welcomes though can mean that visiting even a few squarers in every room can take some time. So feel free to pop back and visit later during the month if you don’t have time right now. Squarers are always delighted to see you whenever you pop by.
- Do leave a comment if you visit a fellow squarer, and if you have the odd moment enjoy a stroll with them too whilst you discuss a dodgy deal or two
- Maybe not bare all though as you try to keep up with this oddity otherwise you’ll get the oddest looks
- Do peek through a squarers fence to confirm life is bloomin’ odd and weather patterns change
- And celebrate our sculpted oddities which brighten up our cities, and inspire us with their beauty and wonder
I thought I’d pause for a moment with another image to give you time to reflect on the oddities you’ve seen and also to pour yourself a second large glass or cup of something. This pause may even help you remain as focused as this Cattle Egret!

- I’ve loved seeing all your oddness celebrating friendships, pondering the world around us and reminding us how being unique is better than perfect
- You have kept many of us curious, tested our observation skills, delighted us with rhyming oddness and even spooked us at times
- We’ve seen things in trees once our eyes have worked out what they are seeing and we’ve made our next move
- There have been the oddest heritage finds as well as peaceful muses and the realisation that some items regularly appear with no mates
This brings us to the final room in the oddest gallery. I do hope you have time left to explore this final one, as well as leave me a comment about your favourite odd moments this month.
- Our final room will encourage you treasure your trinkets, to take photographs of everyday items, and help you remember where you left things
- So look up and take a pause or even a fresh look, you never know what curious delights you may find
- Or mysteries you might solve but be quick as if you blink the musical numbers may be up for Squares
- I do hope you haven’t missed any squares as now it is time to wave goodbye to this odd lot!
But don’t worry Squares will be back! I am looking forward to catching up with you again in the late spring or maybe early summer; the month and theme will be confirmed in a few weeks.
I hear you Becky – I can’t believe Square Odds are over already?!!!!! And it’s too long till our next Square fix! Thank you for hosting us yet again – you are an inspiration & a joy!
