A unique way to talk about the impact of smoking on our lungs, and a great image for this month’s Square Odds. If you have not yet joined in the fun of the Squares Challenge this month, we are looking for square photographs that are;

  • Differing from the usual or not happening often (ie oddballs, the exceptions and follies)
  • Separated from its set or mate (eg odds and ends or maybe odd socks or shoes)
  • Not divisible exactly by two (ie odd numbers) or the number is unknown (ie 300 odd birds)
  • Or simply something that you find odd, afterall oddness like beauty is in the eye of the beholder

    1. I’ll have to take another shot further away so everyone can get a real feal for it.

      The flowers grow here in the wild, so they seem to be refreshing them regularly 🙂

    1. they are dried flowers so no don’t cover it up, and them seem to be replacing the flowers on a regular basis. And no head!!

  11. Smoking makes you headless? 🙂 Sorry, I couldn’t resist. Definitely an oddity but it works for its purpose, I think. Today I’m inviting everyone to come with me to Mt. Lemmon near Tucson, Arizona to see an odd, tall, spectacular bit of rock.

  15. Becky, you know I it’s all about the lung for me right now with having pneumonia caused by Covid and now using oxygen daily. I not sure why smokers risk damaging their lungs. Unfortunately my mom smoked heavily most of her adult life, cancer took her in the end.

    1. One my uncles and grandfathers suffered the same as your Mum, so sad – there was far less public information available about the dangers of smoking then. These days though as you say why do people risk it
