I love fiddler crabs. I’ve tried taking photos of them with my phone but you can hardly see them against the sand. This is a magnificent photo, Becky.

Yes not easy without zoom as they tend to be very cautious.

They are really odd looking crabs!

I know, so odd just to have the one big claw – and in late spring/summer they are dark purple which makes them look even stranger!

Fortunately they all disappear back into their holes when they sense us so not yet been pinched!!!
